ESPON Policy Brief - Reuse of spaces and buildings

This ESPON policy brief aims to help European, national, regional and urban authorities to better understand how to reuse more spaces and buildings in order to create a more sustainable urbanisation.

It addresses and illustrates various ways to use instruments and tools, among which circular economy models, for the reuse of spaces and buildings. This policy brief aims to support discussions surrounding the reuse of spaces and buildings in terms of the transition towards a circular economy at intergovernmental level during the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union’s (EU’s) first semester of 2020.
