Public Webinar on Cost-Benefit Analysis in Public–Private Partnerships for Green Infrastructure

The webinar will focus on leveraging Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) to enhance Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and funding applications for green infrastructure projects. Organized by the City of Ostrava, this session will explore effective ways to communicate the socio-economic benefits of green infrastructure measures and their broader impacts.

Webinar Details

The session will be led by Ing. Jan Macháč, Ph.D., a lecturer and researcher from the Faculty of Social and Economic Studies at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem (UJEP). With extensive experience in international networks and projects, Dr. Macháč specializes in societal benefits linked to environmental initiatives and the economic evaluation of natural assets. Participants will gain insights into the broader use of CBA for PPPs, including subsidy negotiations, assessing alternative financial instruments, and communicating the effects of green infrastructure measures.

After the lecture, participants will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers and ask questions during the Q&A session.

The webinar will be recorded (lecture) and later published on the UAEU YouTube channel for wider access.
