Energy Transition in Action: workshop at EU Sustainable Energy Week 2018
The transition of the current energy system is a bold challenge for all actors involved, most certainly for cities. The Partnership on Energy Transition has been established within the context of the Urban Agenda for the EU to develop concrete actions for better regulation, funding and knowledge exchange supporting urban initiatives on energy transition.
EUSEW 2018
The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) provides a forum for energy stakeholders to deliberate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas.
At #EUSEW18, the Energy Transition Partnership will host a workshop together with the Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) initiative. During the workshop, the coordinating cities (Gdańsk, London and Roeselare) will present the state-of-play of the Partnership discussions and deliverables, including the Orientation Paper and the Action Plan, which is currently being developed by the partners.
They will enter into an interesting exchange with three UIA projects on energy transition: the Fossil-Fuel Energy Districts (FED) project in Gothenburg, the CoRDEES project in Paris, and the Vilawatt project in Viladecans.
