The Food draft Action Plan consists of seven complementary actions designed to drive the transformation of food systems through a systemic approach, with a particular emphasis on cities as key leaders in this process. It combines knowledge-sharing and capacity-building initiatives to support cities in developing, implementing, monitoring, and financing local food strategies. The draft Action Plan also advocates for an empowering EU framework for local food policies, ensuring cross-sectoral and multi-level policy alignment from the EU to the local level.

The consultation remains open from 6 May until 6 June 2025.

The Cities of Equality draft Action Plan

The Cities of Equality Partnership is also seeking to gather feedback on its draft Action Plan, which aims to promote equality and inclusion in urban areas through an intersectional and people-centred approach.

The Cities of Equality draft Action Plan outlines three closely connected actions. The first focuses on developing a framework to assess spatial segregation and access to services, providing cities with tools to better understand and address urban inequalities. The second aims to mainstream equality considerations into result-based EU funding instruments, ensuring that public investments actively support more inclusive cities. The third action centres on collecting and exchanging innovative practices for citizen participation and co-governance, strengthening local democracy and fostering meaningful community engagement.

Your feedback will be crucial in refining and strengthening the Action Plan before its final adoption. The consultation is open to all stakeholders working on equality and inclusion — including public authorities, research centres, NGOs, companies, experts, and individual citizens — and will run from 6 May until 6 June 2025.
